Drug and Alcohol Assessments
An assessment is also called and evaluation, a Rule 25 or a CD assessment. They are all the same thing. An assessment is a meeting with a licensed, experienced, professional Alcohol and Drug Counselor. This professional will interview you and discuss your situation and work with you to develop a plan that will best meet your individual needs; whether you are concerned about your Alcohol, Drug or Gambling issues. The appointment takes about two hours. Call seven days a week at 218-336-9300 or 715-392-9300 to set up an appointment that works with your schedule: morning, afternoon or evening.
The outcome of the assessment is a report called an "Assessment" or "Rule 25" in Minnesota. It will contain a description of your situation and make recommendations for how you can recover from the alcohol, drug or gambling issues which are affecting your life.
What's Next After the Assessment?
The next step depends on your individual situation. For example, if you are in withdrawal or expect to be, we can arrange for you to receive medication that will help with your symptoms. Or, if you need to get your driver's license back after a DWI/OWI, we will (only with your written permission) communicate with the state or court system to aid you in this process. These are just two examples of the many ways we have helped others like you recover.
How Are My Services Paid For?
Most patients use their health insurance to pay for their treatment services. We accept all insurance plans. We are "In Network" with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Minnesota, Health Partners, Medica, United Health Care, Ucare, Cigna, Anthem BCBS of Wisconsin, Group Health of Eau Claire, WPS, Security Health Plan and Value Options.
We accept all state medical plans for both Minnesota and Wisconsin including Minnesota MA (Medical Assistance), CCDTF (Minnesota County Funding), Medica PMAP, BCBS PMAP, UCare PMAP and Minnesota Fee-For-Service. In Wisconsin we accept Badgercare, Forward Health, Group Health of Eau Claire, United Health Care, HIRSP and Security Health Plan.
For persons without health insurance, we can arrange for your services to be paid by the state, depending on whether you live in Minnesota or Wisconsin. We do not accept Medicare as Medicare provides no benefits for substance abuse treatment. We also provide financial aid for persons that qualify.
Group sessions are held in the mornings and in the evenings. The morning program is held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The evening program is held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Individual sessions with your counselor are scheduled at a time that is convenient for you depending on your work and child care schedule. Anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Rest assured. Everything about your services from The Superior Treatment Center is 100% confidential. This is mandated by Federal and State Law. We will not even disclose that you are attending The Superior Treatment Center.
